Dr. David Sprouse has served on the Kerrville ISD School Board since 1998. During this time, he has served as President of the School Board multiple years. 

Dr. Sprouse comes from a heritage of public education. Both of his parents are retired career school teachers. His daughter is an elementary teacher, and although his wife, Jeri, is not a career teacher, she served as a substitute teacher in KISD elementary schools for 10 years. 

Dr. Sprouse is a Family Practice doctor at Family Practice Associates. He has taught adult Sunday School at Trinity Baptist Church for more than twenty years, and has coached youth sports for hundreds of children, including coaching kids both older and younger than his own. He and his wife have lived in Kerrville since 1989. They have two grown children, both married, who are Tivy graduates. 

Dr. Sprouse is a native of Longview, Texas, and a graduate of Baylor University and The University of Texas Medical School in San Antonio.
