Mike Tackett joins the Kerrville ISD Board of Trustees in 2019.  Mike and his family made Kerrville their home in 2014 as he became a senior leader for a local non-profit foundation supporting growth in youth mentally, physically, and spiritually through a camp setting.  His wife, Karin, enjoys volunteering her time with campus PTO’s (currently HPMS and THS) as well as supporting other organizations in the local community.  Mike’s son and daughter, Kamden and Kenley, are active in multiple sports and are receiving an excellent education from our Kerrville public schools. 

Mike joins our team with 7 years of board experience from Gilmer ISD where he served in various roles including vice-president from 2010-2014.  As a business grad of Texas A&M Commerce with a minor in occupational safety, Mike is a risk management expert specializing in operational processes, safety, and employee culture. 

Mike believes our children are our greatest asset and providing them a safe, nurturing, and learning environment is of the upmost importance.  He is excited to serve our community and youth through the support board members can offer to our teachers, staff, and administration.
