Andree Hayes

Andree LeMeilleur Hayes joined the Kerrville ISD Board of Trustees in 2015. Andree was the beneficiary of an excellent education in Kerrville schools and considers it an honor to serve the district and the students of Kerrville. 

Andree was born and raised in Kerrville, Texas, and was educated in Kerrville schools. After Andree graduated from the University of Texas in Austin, she and her late husband, Jim Hayes, began their careers in education in Iraan, Texas. Jim taught high school math and coached various sports, and Andree taught social studies in the junior high. 

Eventually, Jim transitioned into a career in the oil industry, and as they raised their four children, Andree became a school counselor, serving in sevaral different school districts. They moved  back to Kerrville in 1999 where Andree ended her 25 years in education as a counselor at Tivy High School. 

Andree has continued to be interested in the education of young people, establishing a scholarship in memory of her late husband to benefit Kerrville ISD seniors. She devotes her time to her children, one of whom is a teacher in Kerrville ISD, and her six young grandchildren, as well as helping with the remodeling of the homes of family and friends.
