KISD Robotics Teams shine at meet

KISD Robotics teams kicked off the competition season by winning three awards at the first meet this month. 

Eight teams competed in the FIRST LEGO Robotics Meet hosted by Schreiner University in Kerrville on Jan. 11. 

The Mustang Robotics 4th Grade Team from Daniels Elementary won the Champion Award for First Place.

The Hal Peterson Robo Spikes team won the Strategy & Innovation Award and the Innovative Solution Award.

The Tally Bots Team won the Presentation Award.

The Mustang Robotics 4th Grade Team and the Tally Bots were two of six teams to advance on. 

Other teams competing included the Mustang Robotics 5th Grade team, the RoboDophins from Nimitz Elementary, Starkey5 from Starkey Elementary, Spikes Rockin' Robos from Hal Peterson Middle School and BT Wilson Wildcats.
