Tally Principal Presented with Donation

Kerrville, TX (December 10, 2021) – Tally Elementary Principal Gena Carpenter was presented with a donation for Kerrville Public School Foundation on Dec. 10 after earning one of the top prizes in an online treasure hunt recently.

Mrs. Carpenter was one of 10 Gold Prize winners in HilltopSecurities’ Hilltop Hunt, an online treasure hunt for Texas public school educators. HilltopSecurities celebrated its 75th anniversary this year by donating $75,000 to support Texas public schools.

“The Hilltop Hunt offered a fun way to engage with teachers throughout Texas while giving back to our public schools,” said HilltopSecurities President and CEO Brad Winges.

Mrs. Carpenter accepted the check in a presentation with Mo the Buffalo and students at Tally Elementary. Her idea is to use the funds to replace some outdoor basketball goals used by students and the community.
