  • ELEMENTARY TEACHERS OF THE YEAR ANNOUNCED

    The Elementary Campus Teachers of the Year were announced at tonight’s Board of Trustees meeting. This year, there will be a Teacher of the Year chosen for each campus who will then be in the running to be named the KISD Teacher of the Year in May. Congratulations to these amazing teachers who impact student lives and their co-workers lives daily. Stay tuned for the naming of our Secondary Teachers of the Year! Congratulations, teachers!   • PLANNING BEGINS FOR NEW HPMS CAMPUS

    Planning has begun for the new Hal Peterson Middle School! Campus and community representatives, along with students met on Thursday and Friday last week to imagine teaching and learning in the new facility. Construction will begin in early fall 2019.   • KERRVILLE COMMUNITY APPROVES $88.9 MILLION BOND

    The Kerrville ISD community approved a bond referendum for $88.9 million on Tuesday, November 6, 2018, allowing the school district to implement much needed safety and accessibility updates and address aging infrastructure across the district.

  • KISD Bond Information

    On August 13, 2018, The Kerrville ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to call a bond election in the amount of $88,960,000 to be held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018. The bond proposal will address safety and security, aging infrastructure, handicap accessibility upgrades, as well as a replacement school for Hal Peterson Middle School.

  • Kerrville ISD One of Only Four K-12 Districts in Texas to Earn Postsecondary Distinction Designation

    The Texas Education Agency released its state-wide 2018 Student Testing and Accountability ratings for campuses and districts to the public Wednesday. For the fifth consecutive year, Kerrville ISD received the Postsecondary Readiness Distinction designation. KISD is one of only three K-12 districts in the state of Texas to receive the honor. The Postsecondary Readiness Distinction is the only distinction available for districts under the state accountability system.
