The Kerrville ISD Board of Trustees is a veteran board.  With over 80 years of collective service to our district, their heartfelt goal is to provide the very best education in Texas to the children of Kerrville. Our seven trustees and the superintendent form a strong team and lead the district following a well designed blueprint to unite the district toward academic excellence and success for all students.  We invite you to join us!

Board meetings are typically held the third Monday of every month at 6:00 p.m. at the Joseph A. Tivy Building and meetings always begin with praise and recognition of students and staff.  From academic to athletic achievements, our applause is loud and long as we celebrate the successes of our public schools in Kerrville.

Parents and community members wishing to contact the School Board regarding a specific school, teacher, or student, are encouraged to begin at the level closest to the concern. The Board requests students and parents discuss their concerns through informal conferences with the appropriate teacher, principal, or other campus administrators. KISD’s goal is to resolve the concern(s) as effectively, timely, and as close to the source of the concern as possible. Concerns should be expressed as soon as possible to allow early resolution at the lowest possible administrative level.

Those that wish to express a concern should continue as follows:

  • Step One: Contact the teacher, coach, guidance counselor, etc.
  • Step Two: Contact the assistant principal or campus program coordinator. (If you have a school-wide concern, this becomes step one.)
  • Step Three: Contact the principal or program director.
  • Step Four: If the issue at hand cannot be resolved at the campus level, please contact District administrators responsible for the area of concern by following the District Chain of Command.
