  • The Tivy High School Air Force Junior ROTC was established in 2006. JROTC is one of the best "Leadership Development Programs" available to high school students in America today. It is built on the Air Force Core Values of: Integrity First, Service Before Self, and Excellence in All We Do.

    Col. Bobby Woods profile pic Colonel Woods is a 25 year Active Duty Veteran of the United States Air Force.  He is a Senior Navigator with over 1,800 flying hours in the C-141B Starlifter, the T-43A, and T-1A Jayhawk aircraft.  He flew as an Evaluator, Radar, and Instructor Navigator in the C-141B, T-43A, and was an Instructor Combat Systems Officer in the T-1A.  Col Woods served at the Pentagon, Washington D.C. on the Joint Staff in the National Military Command Center, Operations Team Four.  Prior to coming to Tivy High School in November 2017, Col Woods was the National Director of Headquarters Air Force Junior ROTC.  Col Woods is passionate about youth development, character development, and leadership education for our nation's youth.  He is intentional and deliberate about transfering timeless principles from one generation of leaders to the next.  Col Woods resides in New Braunfels, Texas with his bride Kelly of more than 26 years and his children.
