I was born in San Antonio, Tx and grew up in the Texas Hill Country. I gradudated from Bandera High School before attending Schreiner University and The University of Texas at San Antonio for mymasters in music education.  As an instrumentalist I started off as a tuba player, and began playing the saxophone in high school. When not directing bands I enjoy studying history, scifi movies, and chasing my dog Dug around the house.
