Degrees and Certifications:
I have a Bachelor's Degree in Biomedical Sciences with a concentration in Forensic Science and a minor in Chemistry from Texas A&M University - Corpus Christi.
This is the fourth year in my teaching career. I completed three years of teaching high school science in Medina, Texas where I taught biology, chemistry, honors chemistry, physics, honors physics, environmental science, and integrated physics and chemistry. This year is my first year in middle school, but I am extremely thrilled to be teaching 8th grade science. I am excited to begin incorporating a more student-centered classroom where students can become independent and take accountability for their learning.
When I am not teaching, I am spending time with my wonderful family. My husband and I have a beautiful, energetic two year old daughter who keeps us on our toes at all times.
I am grateful to the community for allowing me the opportunity to inspire the next generation to realize the value that they can provide to the world. Please feel free to reach out to me with any questions, comments, or concerns. I'm looking forward to a successful year! :)
