My name is Luh Putu Januwati. Because my last name is hard to pronounce, you can simply call me Mrs. J. I am the fifth grade Math teacher at Tally Elementary.
I was born in Bali, a small island near the equator. My husband is a native Texan from Stephenville. I love gardening, hiking, and creating fun Math activities to do with my students.
Before working for Tally Elementary, I worked as the Math instructional coach at Tatum Elementary in East Texas. My experience includes working as a corrosion engineer in an oil company and a project manager for several businesses and organizations. I received my Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from ITS Surabaya, Indonesia, and my Masters in Project Management from the University of Manchester, UK. I received my Texas teaching certifications through Tarleton State University. As you can see, I have attended many classes, so, I know how it feels when a class is boring! That’s one thing my class will not be. It will NOT be boring! Students will have to work hard in my class, but I promise to try and make it an exciting experience!
