    • Responding to calls for service
    • Serving as speakers in many classes
    • Investigating crimes that occur on campus

    Community Relationships

    Our relationship with the teachers and staff of KISD has been strengthened by the presence of this officer. Most importantly, the relationship our department has with the young people of our community has been solidified through the SROs and the program as a whole.


About Officer Paul Gonzales


    Paul Gonzales began his career with the Kerrville Police Department (KPD) in 1989 as a Police Explorer Volunteer.  In June 1993, Paul became a full-time employee at KPD serving in several capacities to include Certified Animal Control Officer, Patrol Officer, Field Training, Traffic Officer, Bike Patrol, Special Operations Unit (SOU) Team Member, Less-Lethal Instructor, Background Investigator, Crime Prevention Specialist, Community Services Liaison, Public Information Officer, and is currently assigned as the School Resource Officer at Tivy High School under the Support Services Division.

    Being a native to Kerrville and during his tenure at KPD, Paul has strengthened his professional relationship with not only all Law Enforcement agencies in the Central Texas region, but also the entire Hill Country Community.

    Additionally, Paul is a member of the numerous local and state organizations and associations, and is an adjunct instructor for the Texas Crime Prevention Association.
