Hello!!! My name is Desirae Yanez and this year I will be teaching English III, IV, and English as a Second Language. I will also serve as the proud Tivy Cheer Sponsor. This will be my third year at Tivy High School and my fourth year with KISD. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in English from the University of Texas Pan American and a Masters Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from UTPA as well. I am certified to teach English Language Arts 7-12 and also have my ESL certification. This will be my 8th year in the field of education, and I love it! I enjoy helping our ESL population and inspiring them to become lifelong learners. I also enjoy sponsoring our Tivy Cheerleaders and inspiring them to spread positivity and school spirit. TFND!!!📣💙💛
