I grew up in Huntsville, Texas and graduated from Huntsville High School. I then went to Sam Houston State University and graduated with a degree in Education and a minor in Reading. After moving to Kerrville, I taught 3rd and 4th grade at Nimitz Elementary for five years. I had the opportunity to become the Reading Recovery teacher at Tom Daniels Elementary and went through a year-long training for the position. I have been at Tom Daniels teaching reading for 30 years. I live in Fredericksburg and have been married to my husband, Glen, for 31 years. We have 3 children: Chase - 29 years old, Kyle - 26 years old, and Ali - 23 years old. I love to read, work in my garden and go to the beach.
