Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Bush

I am a 1998 BFA graduate of Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas. My degree is in Art Education with all-level teacher certification. I have been teaching art for 25 years. I've taught in Texas, Iowa, and Louisiana. My areas of expertise include portraiture, painting, and hand-building with clay. I'm also pretty good at drawing all the cute Kawaii stuff and Pokemon characters (thanks to student requests)! I have worked as a painting instructor for all ages from 3 years old to adults, and enjoy teaching painting parties for birthdays and other special occasions.

I have been married for 26 years. My husband Cody is also an artist. He has MFA degrees in metalsmithing and jewelry design. He taught for several years at the University of Louisiana in Lafayette. He now works as a technical designer for James Avery Craftsman. For this reason, our family relocated to Kerrville 9 years ago. We have one son, Kai, born in August 2006. He is a high school  Senior this year. He attended Tally in 5th grade.

When I'm not making art, I enjoy reading, planting flowers, and riding recumbent trikes with my family.

I am proud to be a Tally Eagle and look forward to sharing my love of art and art history with my students this year!

It's a great day to be an EAGLE!
