Mrs. Sharon Pintsch
Sharon Pintsch is a wife and mother and has resided in Kerrville since 1995. Mrs. Pintsch holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies (education) from Lamar Univeristy - Beaumont. She has previously taught 1st, 2nd and 5th grades in addition to Reading Recovery for grades 1-8. Mrs. Pintsch is also a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with the certification obtained in 2008 from Schreiner University and spends her summers honing her nursing skills as a school nurse for KISD's elementary summer school, a local doctor's office and the Texas Lion's Camp. She is an active member of THOA (Texas Health Occupations Association) and a member/sponsor for HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America). Mrs. Pintsch is BLS (Basic Life Support), Stop the Bleed and CRASE certified and is an AHA HeartSaver CPR/First Aid/AED instructor for KISD. She also serves as the Department Chair for the Career and Technical Education Department.
Mrs. Pintsch's employment background is very diverse. She has held positions such as legal secretary, administrative assistant, teacher and nurse. She has worked at 3 school districts before coming to Tivy, for a personal injury attorney, James Avery, doctors' offices and Peterson Regional Medical Center (in the operating room) just to name a few. Teaching Health Science is her DREAM JOB - combining the two things she's most passionate about: teaching and healthcare! Being able to influence students to pursue their dreams and become lifelong learners is one of her primary goals.
She has been married to her high school crush since 1990 and they have 1 daughter, Amber, who will be a senior at Tivy this year. In her free time, Mrs. Pintsch enjoys spending time with her family, (including 2 dogs and 2 cats), watching Amber play softball and exploring the outdoors. Her favorite "recharge zone" is the beach.
