Head Baseball Coach & Assistant Football Coach
I attended Tivy High School where I played football and baseball from 1993 to 1997, and then went on to play baseball at Texas A&M University from 1998-2001. I was drafted to play professional baseball by the New York Yankees in 2001 in the 12th round of the Major League Baseball draft. I played minor league baseball for seven seasons with the New York Yankees, Edinburg Roadrunners, and St. Louis Cardinals organizations. I reached the Triple-A level with the St. Louis Cardinals as well as spent time playing in the Mexican League. When my playing career ended, I returned to Texas A&M University to serve as the graduate manager for the Aggie baseball team while I earned my Masters of Education, Educational Administration. While in College Station I worked with youth as a coach for the College Station Twelve Baseball Academy and through private baseball lessons. After completeing my Masters, I returned to Kerrville as a teacher and coach in order to give back to the community that I grew up in. I have coached a varity of age groups ranging from as young as eight years of age through college students. I enjoy teaching and working with students both athletically and academically. I come from a family of eduators and coaches. My wife is a teacher in KISD as well. This is my tenth year teaching World History at Tivy. I want to inspire all students to become lifelong learners and productive citizens.
