US History
  • US History is a Junior level class that explores a wide variety of interesting topics that have shaped our country today.  I hope to give students the opportunity to analyze different individuals, events, movements, and eras to better understand the world around them.

US History is a STAAR tested subject and will require students to engage in the classroom to get the most benefit from each lesson.  We will have checkpoints along the way to gain a better understanding of our progress and to identify any topics that need better clarification.

  • AP Psychology is not always a black and white class.  It should be fun and challenging.

As a college level course, it will be more demanding and rigorous than a traditional high school class, but the topics are very interesting, and even controversial at times.   (If we aren’t looking at different viewpoints, we aren’t learning).

The end goal of the class is to have success on the AP Exam in May.  Along the way, we will investigate the history and development of psychology, understand the methodology and research involved, identify different approaches, and apply what we have learned in a safe environment.

It will get bizarre, loud, and we will have “What in the world just happened?” moments.
