Beanstack FAQ

Beanstack Logo
  • Beanstack is an online reading tool purchased by the district in an initiative at the elementary and middle schools to get students invested in literacy. The platform uses competition, recognition, and proven gamification principles to grow a culture of reading within our learning community.
  • Students and families can access Beanstack through the Clever website/app or through the direct links on the library page.
  • Beanstack tracks minutes read, books completed, and has the options of student-written book reviews and teacher-prompted written responses.
  • Students can connect with other students to see what they're reading and read their book reviews. There is no messaging or internal communication within Beanstack.

SUMMER READING

Summer Reading is required for several different grade levels in the district in an effort to decrease research-shown loss in learning for students who do not read over their extended break.
