Homecoming at Tivy High School is rich with traditions. Homecoming week begins with students dressing up according to the Homecoming theme on a daily basis. The classes participate in hall decorating contests which increases the school spirit found in the hallways. These activities lead up to the annual Homecoming Parade held on the Thursday before the big game. Student organizations, classes, clubs, athletic groups, alumni and community members decorate their floats for the annual contest. Water Street is lined with spectators who gather to support the students as they drive by. The Parade ends at the "Star" where the Pep Rally has been held for many years. The night ends with the Tivy "T" being lit up as fog fills the air. The Homecoming Ceremony and crowning of Homecoming King/Queen precedes the football game which ends the week's festivities.
