I was born in Ohio and graduated from Wadsworth High School (Go Grizzlies!) and Hiram College (Go Terriers!). I have a Master's degree from Texas Christian University (Go Frogs!).  I married a Kerrville girl and got here as soon as I could.

This is my 18th year teaching Social Studies at Tivy (Go Antlers!).  For 10 years, I taught AP World History.  This year I am again teaching the OnRamps Dual Enrollment US History course offered by the University of Texas at Austin.  I look forward to helping my juniors with their opportunity to gain up to 6 hours of college credit through this program.

I am also a coach at Hal Peterson Middle School (Go Spikes!).  For the past 17 years, I have coached football, basketball and track for the Spikes.
