Hello Wildcat and Spike Families!
In an effort to help reduce the "summer-slide" (a time when the average student loses a month of academic-calendar learning each summer), we are excited to have all students participate in our summer reading project! Your student has brought home a book which he or she has chosen to borrow for the summer, along with the one-page assignment which is due the first day of 6th and 7th grade.
Our teachers have planned an engaging, fun lesson using this project the first week of school and beyond.
For one-on-one teacher help or switching out books, any incoming 6th grade student can visit our Summer Reading Hours in the BTW Library or Front Office on these dates from 4 to 6 pm:
June 4, 13, 18
August 1, 6, 8
If you are new to the district, your student may pick up a book and one-page assignment when he or she enrolls. For additional information, please contact English and Reading teacher, Bridgette Michon at firstname.lastname@example.org.
