Hello! I am so excited to be teaching mathematics at Tivy! This will be my 20th year in education, starting my career at Tivy in 2001. For eight years, I was an Assistant Principal and subsequently, Principal, at Ingram Tom Moore High School. In 2014, I went back to the classroom at Medina High School, teaching Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Statistics, and Calculus. I served as Medina's Principal from 2016-18, and then as the Curriclum Director last year. I returned to Tivy this year and will be teaching Geometry, Dual Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus. I am originally from San Antonio, but I have resided in Kerrville for over 20 years and can not think of a better place to live. I have been married since 1985 to my wonderful husband, Jimmy, and together, we have 3 fabulous children, a fantastic daughter-in-law, a superb son-in-law, and one marvelous grandchild!

I received a Bachelors of Arts in Mathematics from Schreiner University in 2001, and later received a Masters in Educational Leadership from Schreiner in 2004. In 2016, I received a Doctorate of Educational Leadership from Lamar University. I firmly believe that my vocation is to help students enjoy mathematics and to open their world to the opportunities mathematics offers. I am thrilled to teach our students.
