Welcome! This year's summer reading assignment is to "take a break and get lost in a good book."
More specifically, I would like you to choose something that will challenge and inspire you. Read it! And be prepared to share with the class upon returning to school. And I know you will want to make a good first impression!
To help you select a "good fit" book, here are some reading lists with suggestions for college-bound students, like you.
These books illuminate and explore the worlds and lives around us and those far away, where we have come from and where we may be going. Use these books to broaden your horizons and deepen your understandings.
Click on these links for suggested books. (or copy and paste into browswer)
I am looking forward to a great year together! Have a fantastic summer, and I’ll see you soon!
