WHEREAS, the Kerrville Independent School District endeavors to provide a quality education for all children in a safe and nurturing environment; and

WHEREAS, the Kerrville Independent School District has a responsibility to maximize its financial resources; now, therefore,

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Kerrville Independent School District supports the renovation of the future Hal Peterson Middle School to be located at 1607 Sidney Baker Drive to accommodate seventh and eighth grade students; and

BE IT RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Kerrville Independent School District supports the inclusion of sixth grade students at the future Hal Peterson Middle School at a date to be determined when data related to student academic performance, student enrollment, and other relevant matters indicates a need, and the community supports the move; and

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Trustees of the Kerrville Independent School District supports the creation of a future second middle school, to be named B.T. Wilson Middle School, at a date to be determined when data related to student academic performance, student enrollment, and other relevant matters indicates a need, and the community supports the move.
