The mission of the Kerrville ISD Student and Family Services department is to provide research based and comprehensive services to students considered at risk for emotional and/or behavioral difficulties affecting their education. We will accomplish this by assisting families and school personnel, being directly involved in the education of these students, through broad based counseling, training, assessment and communication services.
Families on Track:
Weekly Parent Meeting covering a variety of topics. Meets weekly on Tuesdays beginning September 11, 2012 from 5:30 - 6:30 at the Student and Family Services Building. Click here for dates and topics.
Other services include: Evening Family Counseling, Parent Resource Center, Community Support, Parent Consultation, Teacher Consultation, Student Individual Counseling, Student Group Counseling and Teen Parenting Education.
Guidance and Counseling Services:
Kerrville ISD counselors follow the TEA 4-Component Model of a Comprehensive, Developmental Guidance and Counseling Program. The four components are: Guidance Curriculum, Responsive Services, Individual Planning, and System Support. The responsibilities of each area are as follows:
