KISD Mission Statement: The purpose of the Kerrville Independent School District is to educate all students to be successful and productive citizens in a way that meets parent and community expectations through continual improvement in curriculum and instruction, a safe and orderly learning environment, sound fiscal management, and leadership dedicated to excellence.
Kerrville ISD is one of Kerr County's largest employers with over 750 full-time and part-time staff serving approximately 4,700 students. Offering the highest starting teaching salary in the Hill Country, the attraction to the district is both compensation and camaraderie. Serving as a strong family unit, KISD was created solely to meet the needs of children in Kerrville. Our strength stems from the uniqueness of each individual team member.

Curriculum & Instruction
Under the direction of Deb Wells, Deputy Superintendent of Curriculum & Instruction, teachers are offered resources and tools for training; including a model lesson website with over 100 lesson plans.
Instructional Technology Resources
Joel Adkins, Chief Technology Officer, offers a vast selection of technology resources and training online. You can access 24/7 opportunities for educational technology instruction through our Atomic Learning website and a host of other tools to use in your classrooms.
