"Bedding for Buddies"

For the past five years the Fred H. Tally Student Council has sponsored a school wide project benefitting our local animal shelters. The council members solicit the help of the entire student body. Student activities include making public announcements, creating posters, decorating collection boxes, and actively motivating the Tally students to participate. Gently used towels, dog and cat treats, and pet toys are collected, packaged, and delivered to the local animal shelters. Many animals at Freeman Fritts shelter and Kathleen C. Cailloux Humane Society have benefitted from the project. Once the items are delivered, Student Council members have the opportunity to interact with the dogs and cats. Tally Elementary School students are making a positive difference through the “Bedding for Buddies” project.

The Tally Student Council is committed to making a difference in our community one project at a time.
