Tally Elementary School

Tally Turns Ten

On Thursday, May 23rd, students, staff and families of Fred H. Tally Elementary School gathered to celebrate the schools tenth birthday.

The morning started with an aerial photograph of all of the students and staff. Everyone gathered on the playground and formed the numbers 2012 as the airplane flew over taking the picture. The photo is a gift from the students and staff of 2012 to those of 2022. The picture has been placed in a time capsule to be opened at that time. Numerous other items were collected by Mrs. Lisa Davis and the Tally students to also be placed in the capsule.

Other activities of the day included an assembly of the Tally community. At the gathering, outgoing principal Buck Thompson was interviewed by the Tally Eagle Mascot, the time capsule was presented by the student body, and community members were applauded for their part in Tally’s history.

It was a great celebration and all of us from the Kerrville Independent School District wish to thank everyone involved in helping make the first ten years of Tally Elementary a great place for learning.
