Kerrville ISD Administration

The stated goal of the Kerrville Independent School District is to educate all students to be successful and productive citizens.  Our pledge as administrators is to make that happen in a way that meets parent and community expectations through continual improvement in curriculum and instruction, a safe and orderly learning environment, sound fiscal management, and leadership dedicated to excellence.

Dan Troxell, Ph.D.

If you dream of living in the beautiful Texas Hill Country, you are not alone.  Those of us that have realized that dream cherish this close-knit community and serene setting.  We feel strongly that when selecting an area to raise children, the key consideration should be the school system.  In Kerrville, your dreams can come true as you raise your children while we, as a district, raise the bar to provide the highest quality of education in the area.

Proudly, KISD stands as the only 4A or 5A district in the region to receive a "Recognized" or "Exemplary" rating for the 5th consecutive year. Every single KISD campus received a Texas Education Agency rating of "Exemplary" or "Recognized."

On the financial front, despite state cuts to the public education budget, KISD continues to provide the highest quality of education without raising taxes.  Earning a "Superior Achievement" rating on the Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas for the 8th consecutive year, KISD remains financially stable even in unstable times.

KISD cherishes the hearts of the teachers, staff, administrators, community members, business leaders, the Kerrville Public School Foundation, and KISD families who are passionate about ensuring quality education for all children in Kerrville. Involved parents and a supportive business community are the hallmark of our district.   Seems everywhere you turn, KISD children are given the support they need to be successful.

To our KISD students, staff and families we are grateful you have chosen Kerrville ISD.  For families considering a move to our district, we invite you to take a closer look.  District information fill our web pages and offers visitors a chance to consider becoming a part of a little district that leads!

Please contact us if we can be of service to you in any way.  (830)257-2200, ext 235.
