THS Camerata Excels At San Antonio Madrigal/Chamber Choir Festival

The Tivy High School Camerata Choir participated in the American Classic Madrigal/Chamber Choir Festival that was held at Coker United Methodist Church in San Antonio.

The choir performed three selections a cappella in the chamber music genre. According to David Custer, Director, the group received excellent comments and adjudication from three nationally known choral directors.

They also received a clinic emphasizing rehearsal and singing technique from Dr. Jerry McCoy, the Director of Choral Activities from the University of North Texas. There were more than 30 choirs from Texas, Kansas and Mississippi at this festival.
