THS RECEIVES 57 SUPERIOR MEDALS AT UIL SOLO & ENSEMBLE

Members of the Tivy High School Choirs took part in the UIL Solo & Ensemble Contest held at Tivy High School recently. Seventeen students received a superior rating of one on their solos along with a UIL medal. The Tivy HS Mixed Medium Ensemble, Pop/Swing Medium Ensemble and a Madrigal Ensemble all received the highest rating of one and were awarded a total of forty medals for their efforts. The Tivy H.S. Choirs earned a total of 57 medals for this event.

Eight students singing solos and one Madrigal ensemble advanced to the Texas State Solo & Ensemble Contest to be held at the University of Texas at Austin on May 28. David Custer is the Director.
