PUBLIC INVITED TO REVIEW PROPOSED SCHOOL BUDGET
AND TAX RATE

Members of the general public are invited and encouraged to attend Kerrville Independent School District’s (KISD’s) annual informal public budget hearing on Tuesday, July 17h at 6:00 p.m.

Says Bill Orr, Assistant Superintendent of Business Services, “KISD values the participation and feedback of our vested shareholders…our taxpayers.  A copy of the proposed budget will be available for review and staff will be on-hand to answer specific questions on any line item or general area.  This is an ideal opportunity for citizen input and an information exchange relating to school budgets and tax rate determination.” Orr will provide a short overview and explanation of the proposed 2007-2008 budget and allow for questions and comments from attendees.

The final budget will be presented to the School Board of Trustees at a public hearing before their regular monthly meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. on July 24th . Meetings will be held in the KISD Board Room located at 1009 Barnett Street.
