KISD Accepting Applications For Preschool Programs

Kerrville I.S.D. will continue to accept applications for its preschool programs, Head Start and Pre-Kindergarten, for the 2007-2008 school year for families residing in the district. Applications will be taken at 700 College Street between 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Children must be four years old on or before September 1, 2007 and meet income eligibility guidelines OR non-English speaking. Children with disabilities may also qualify.

In order to register in either Head Start or Pre-Kindergarten, the following documents are needed:

• Official birth certificate
• Child’s social security card
• Immunization Record
• Income verification for the last calendar year (2006 Income Tax Form 1040 or W-2 form), Current TANF/SSI benefits, child support, unemployment compensation, pay stubs for the previous 12 months
• Medicaid card or letter
• If a child has a disability, bring records documenting the type of disability with the signature of the professional responsible for diagnosing the disability.
