The Hal Peterson Middle School bands earned top marks at the U.I.L. Concert and Sightreading contests held Apr 4 at Boerne High School.

The 7th grade band earned the Sweepstakes rating, which includes a first
division rating in both concert and sightreading performances. The 8th grade
band split with a first division in concert and a second division in
sightreading.

According to Cory Bell, HPMS Band Director, this year marks the sixth
consecutive year that the 8th grade band received a first division rating
for concert, sightreading, or both. It is also the third consecutive year
the 7th grade band has received a Sweepstakes rating at UIL.

"We are extremely proud of the students' hard work and great performances,"
Bell said. "This deserves a huge congratulations to all members of the HPMS
bands."
