Christy Dill Promoted to Position

Contact: Mark Smith, THS Athletic Director, 257-2212

Kerrville Independent School District (KISD) has announced the selection of Christy Dill as Head Basketball Coach for the Tivy High School Lady Antler basketball team. For the past 11 years, Dill has served as the girls varsity assistant and junior varsity basketball coach. According to THS Athletic Director Mark Smith, Dill has been instrumental in leading the Lady Antlers to two State Championship tournaments and four Regional Quarterfinal games.

“This promotion is very well deserved," Smith said. "We are confident in Christy’s ability to lead this team toward continued success and her ability to help us grow our ever-expanding athletic program. We are especially excited about the smooth transition into the position for her, our staff, and our athletes, as she is already an integral part of our program and a respected faculty member.”

Dill has resided in Kerrville for the past 14 years. She and her husband, Rian, have two daughters ages 7 and 3. Dill is a four-sport athlete from Rogers High in Rogers, Texas. Upon receiving a college scholarship to play basketball at Hill Junior College where she earned All-Conference honors, Dill continued her basketball career at Schreiner College in Kerrville for two more years. She became a student coach at Schreiner while earning a Bachelors Degree in Biology and Exercise Science.

“I am thrilled by the opportunity to remain in the Hill Country," Dill said. "Tivy High School is an ideal place to work and live, and Kerrville is a great place to raise a family. As Head Coach, I look forward to building on the key successes of Tivy High School and the Antler basketball program, and working toward the future.”
