Two Tivy High School graduates have been chosen to receive college scholarships from the Kerrville Public School Foundation.   Each year the Foundation awards a Tivy graduate  the Carolyn Dozier Hunnicutt Memorial Scholarship .  Hunnicutt was a former director of the Foundation and following her death a scholarship was established and is now given  in her memory.  The Foundation presented this during the Tivy High School annual awards ceremony to Cameron Mauzé.   He is the son of Heather Mauzé and plans to attend Baylor University.

The KISD Employee Student Scholarship was awarded to Roxanna Quintanilla.  Roxanna has been accepted to attend Texas Lutheran University this fall, and is the daughter of Linda Schmerber.   This scholarship was established to benefit a child of a KISD employee.   The money is raised by the fundraisers sponsored by Kerrville Public School Foundation and educator payroll donations.

We are “giving back” to our school district employees who so faithfully work toward helping the children in our community.  The foundation is committed to excellence for the children in Kerrville.  If you would like to honor the educators and children in Kerrville schools, our foundation is there for you.  Call Barbara Johnston, executive director at 257-9282 or visit our website at www.kerrvilleisd.net/foundation.
