STUDENTS
SALUTE VETERANS ACROSS THE DISTRICT
From Pre-K to high school, KISD students took the
time to honor and salute Americans serving our country on
Veterans' Day. Events included a patriotic parade and flag
raising on KISD's Early Childhood Program campus, a reception
for veterans at Hal Peterson Middle School, a field trip to the
Veterans Administration Hospital by students at Tom Daniels
Elementary School, Tivy High School's JAFROTC color guard
leading the city-wide ceremony at the Kerr County Courthouse,
and students at B.T. Wilson Sixth Grade School taking time in
their social studies classes to make bookmarks and write special
letters to local veterans for delivery to the VA Hospital.
KISD thanks the many veterans who took time out of this day in
their honor to spend time with our students.
