High School Matrix &
Imaginary Number Activities |
For Algebra II teachers, a
common question heard by students is, "When would anyone really ever
use matrices or imaginary numbers?" Would you believe that
computer animators do? These activities see how matrix math and math
with imaginary numbers can be used to make transformations occur on the
coordinate grid. Also included are some TI programs for "screen
savers" generated with matrices and "i."
