I received my Bachelors degree from Schreiner University in 1998 and then taught math for 5 years at Cavazos Junior High in Lubbock, Texas. After receiving my Masters in Counseling from Texas Tech University (Go, Raiders!), I moved to Kerrville and got married in 2003. I taught math at Tivy High School before coming to B. T. Wilson in 2005.

I love to read, travel and go dancing, and I look forward to becoming a black belt in Shotokan Karate.

Although not a native of Kerrville, I have lived here for 23 years. Kerrville is a wonderful place to raise my two children, Cameron, a Tivy senior, and Courtney, a Tivy junior. A favorite pastime of mine is watching my kids compete in sports; I especially enjoy watching them play soccer for the Tivy High School Varsity Soccer Teams. I travel every opportunity I get and find a lot of gratification from a good run in the park. I aspire to be a great chef one day and enjoy the company of a good book; in fact, some of my favorites are The Awakening, ‘Til We Have Faces, and The Bean Trees. A lesser known fact about me is you can find me playing the bass bells in my church’s chancel bell choir on any given Sunday.

I received my Associate’s, Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees from Schreiner University and have taught secondary English and reading at both the middle school and high school levels. At B.T. Wilson Sixth Grade School, you can find me either teaching reading or our gifted and talented program or serving as assistant principal, working in the office. Come on in any time or give us a call if we can help out!

I was born, raised and still live here in Kerrville. I graduated from Tivy High School in 1978.

I've been married to a wonderful man for 26 years. We have two children: our son Lee (25) works at River Hills; a daughter Jessica (22) works at BTW. We also have two amazing and loving grandchildren: Ethan X. Juarez, 2 1/2, and Adriel K. Juarez, 4 1/2.

I've been working for the school district for almost 20 years. For eight years I worked as a teacher aide at Starkey Elementary and then four years at Tivy Upper Elementary School as a teacher aide. I have been at BTW for six years: one year as an attendance secretary, two years as the counselor's secretary and three years as the principal's secretary. I spent one year at Central Office as PEIMS and Purchasing Coordinator before returning to BTW as principal's secretary. I'm very happy to be back and be part of the BTW family.

I was born and raised in Southern California. I moved to Kerrville in 1986 with plans of staying for a year. Now, 21 years later, I consider Kerrville home and couldn't think of living anywhere else.

I have 2 wonderful children; Justin, 26 yrs old and an attorney in San Antonio, and Lauren, 17 yrs old and a senior at Tivy with plans of going to UTSA and becoming a psychologist.

My medical experience includes 5 years at Loma Linda University Medical Center in Loma Linda, California and 4 years at Sid Peterson Memorial Hospital. I have been a school nurse for 14 years now. I started out in 1993 when we were the old Tivy Upper Elementary School, and since 2002 when we became BTW. With the great teachers, staff and students, I couldn't imagine myself working any place else.

I enjoy spending time with my family, baking and watching the San Antonio Spurs. My favorite movies include The Shawshank Redemption and Remember the Titans, although my favorite kinds of movie are usually "no-brainer" comedies. I love to travel anywhere it's sunny and warm.

I love to travel with my family and play sports for fun.
