Our purpose is to educate all students to be successful and
productive citizens in a way that meets parent and community
expectations.
We do this by pursuing continual improvement in curriculum
and instruction, maintaining a safe and orderly learning environment,
and supporting leadership dedicated to excellence.
Parents, students, and the community are our partners in these
endeavors. We strongly encourage you to be involved in our
academic and extra-curricular activities, as we pursue maximum
educational achievement and productive citizenship for all

ART DEPARTMENT TREATS
STUDENTS TO PUMPKIN CARVING CONTEST
Art teacher Bridget Putman offered the Tivy High School
Library a Halloween treat as pumpkins from the 1st Annual
Pumpkin Carving Contest were on display Oct. 30th - 31st.
Over two dozen pumpkins were entered and the winners were
selected by a mystery judge. Placing first was Rachel
Bauman, second went to Michael Thuente, and Justin Hunt's
pumpkin came in 3rd. |

2008 Homecoming Queen Allison Ingram and King Quincy Kibbett
are crowned at Antler stadium on Friday, Oct. 10th.

School AFJROTC Silver Antler Female Drill Team Place 2nd in
First Competition
Taking 2nd place in the Female Division are
SSgt. Brooke Horn, cadet 1st Lt. Heather Favaron, cadet 2nd

TWENTY-FOUR
STUDENTS EARN THE DESIGNATION OF AP SCHOLAR BY THE COLLEGE BOARD
Twenty-four students at Tivy High
School have earned the distinction of AP Scholar by the College
Board in recognition of their exceptional achievement on the
college-level Advanced Placement (AP) Program. Students
took AP Exams in May 2008 after completing challenging
