Parent/Teacher Support Group Meets
Monthly Parents of special needs children are invited to attend a free Parent/Teacher Support Group that will meet the second Tuesday of each month beginning September 11, 2007. Sharon Claiborn, Kerrville ISD Special Education Counselor, said that parents do not need to have children in public school or in Kerrville in order to participate. The meetings generally feature a short program with a speaker or activity, then parents are free to network together. Meetings run from 6:30-8:00PM and are held in the KISD Mentoring Center, Building E, Tivy Street in Kerrville. Free babysitting is available during the meeting.
