Grants

In 2008, the Foundation Prize Patrol surprised teachers across the district and awarded over $34,000 in grants.

For more than two decades, the KPSF has supported the educational needs of students and staff across KISD. Stepping in to lend a hand, the Foundation's unwavering support became more important than ever as financial "un-assistance" became apparent. As KISD's partner in education, the KPS continues its legacy of making a difference across the district and supporting new programs for teachers today and far into the future.

Since its inception, the KPSF has offered KISD teachers an added avenue of assistance. The Foundation's Instructional Grants Program served as a premier offering starting in 1989 and has continued as their tradition of giving back to the teachers who they believe give so much of their energy, time, ideas, and even personal money in the classroom.

Over the years, the foundation has contributed over $210,000 in direct scholarships for teachers across KISD. In May of 2006, they awarded over $30,000 to teachers in their traditional scholarship application process.
