Our cafeteria serves nutritious breakfasts and lunches based on the National School Lunch Program.
A variety of breakfast choices is served from 7:10 to 7:45 each school morning.
Lunch is served from 11:45 to 1:06 divided into two lunch periods. The menu changes daily and the cost is $1.75 for students and $3.00 for adult visitors. If you would like to have lunch with your student, please stop by the main office first to obtain a visitor's badge.
EXTRAS
In addition to the full lunch, students may purchase ice cream and fruit drinks for 50 cents each.
PAYMENT PROCEDURE
All students and staff are assigned a personal ID code that is used with our computer accounting system. This personal ID code must be used with every meal or money transaction in the cafeteria.
This system is a descending balance account, and parents and students must pre-pay any amount of money for cafeteria purchases. Prepayment of a week, month or several months will cause less confusion for the student. Checks may be made to KISD Child Nutrition. No charging is permitted.
An alternate lunch of fruit and milk is served to a student who has no money in his/her account.
SPECIAL REQUESTS
Special diet requests must be accompanied by a physician's note.
