B. T. Wilson is proud to have served our community for 5 years as a school of excellence in academics, athletics and activities helping to guide and challenge our students through the middle years of their lives. Thank you for your interest in our school.

I am pleased to have the opportunity to tell you about BTW. We offer a program that addresses the unique intellectual, social, emotional and physical developmental needs of sixth grade students.

Student Curriculum and Programs:
Students belong to teams of teachers who integrate the core academics of language arts, math, science and social studies. We emphasize problem-solving and critical thinking skills through innovative learning experiences in a diverse curriculum. We promote high academic standards for all students and offer a range of programs from a challenging Gifted and Talented Program for advanced students to classes for our special needs students.

Students are recognized through programs like our Catches of the Day, Principal's Club, Honor Roll, Destination Imagination, Accelerated Reader, and Team Rewards. There are a variety of activities for all students from field days to the Student Council. We believe it is important for students to be an active part of the school.

PTO:
We have an active PTO that works hard to make BTW the best school it can be. Our volunteers and business partners are extremely helpful to us. We would love for you to become one of these and help us complete our mission of helping children reach their fullest potential. We can work together with families and the community to ensure that every student has the skills, knowledge, and desire to become a lifelong learner and to succeed in a changing world.

Enrollment:
B. T. Wilson has an enrollment of approximately 326 students with a diverse ethnic distribution of  54% White, 39% Hispanic, and 5% African-American and 2% other. We have a student population of 50% economically disadvantaged.
