Emergency Closing Procedures for Bad Weather Days

When inclement weather or other adverse conditions are predicted, school administrators will travel bus routes in all parts of the district beginning at 3:00 a.m.  The Superintendent and Director of Transportation will determine whether conditions are too hazardous for bus transportation.

Crisis & Emergency Information:

Every effort will be made to post emergency or closing information on the home page of the website as quickly as possible.  In the event of a crisis situation, the home page will prominently feature our emergency icon, the red warning bell.

PLEASE NOTE:  We will NOT inform the media if we will NOT be closed.  If no information is given, KISD will be starting at the regular time, on a regular schedule.
