Parents are invited to join in a Book Study with Ellen Williams,
Senior Director of Advanced Academics, beginning October
25. Meeting for one hour once a week for three weeks, the
group will read and discuss Keeping Your Kids Out
Front Without Kicking Them From Behind, by Ian Tofler
and Theresa Foy DiGeronimo.

year, KISD’s Tivy High School (THS) students taking
college-level Advanced Placement Program (AP) Exams have
increased in both number of students testing and score
results.

Horizons Classes Where Learning Has No Limits!
HORIZONS classes are offered
at B.T. Wilson Sixth Grade School in language arts and
math for gifted and talented students and high ability
students. Students identified as gifted and talented are
enrolled in these classes automatically and participate
in an additional 100-minute enrichment program each week.
